Assistant Superintendent Phoenix Buildings

Job Summary

PCL Buildings Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent in Phoenix to support field leadership, project execution, safety, scheduling, quality, and coordination across building construction work.

Responsibilities

• Support the site superintendent and project manager with safety implementation, workforce supervision, team development, and field communication.
• Coordinate trades, field engineers, estimators, consultants, and project personnel to maintain productivity, quality, and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Help develop the Project Execution Plan and short-term resource-loaded schedules while monitoring the construction plan and critical path.
• Review contract and subcontract requirements, identify project risks, address constructability issues, and maintain required project documentation.
• Lead effective site meetings and communicate potential conflicts, schedule impacts, and operational issues to project leadership.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate or bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Approximately three years of experience as a field engineer, field coordinator, lead hand, or foreman is preferred.
• Experience supervising construction personnel and knowledge of building materials, specifications, construction methods, scheduling, and project operations.
• Working toward an NCSO designation and enrollment as a Gold Seal program intern are preferred.
• Familiarity with scheduling software, safety and environmental requirements, basic engineering principles, conflict resolution, and site meeting leadership.
