Assistant Project Manager - Renewable Energy (Traveler)

Job Summary

McCarthy Building Companies is seeking a site-based Assistant Project Manager to support utility-scale renewable energy construction projects. The position is full-time and requires extensive travel.

Project Details

Support utility-sized renewable energy projects from field execution through closeout, working with project leadership, engineers, staff, owners, and trade partners.

Responsibilities

• Support project accounting, CPM scheduling, subcontracts, purchase orders, staffing plans, and project administration.
• Assist project leadership with field staff support, training, cost tracking, labor analysis, quantity reporting, and financial records.
• Process change requests, change orders, owner payment applications, and claims when applicable.
• Help lead quality management activities, safety and EEO programs, and project closeout.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• At least three years of construction experience on relevant projects.
• Advanced knowledge of construction practices and experience managing field staff and owner relationships.
• Geographic mobility, strong teamwork, a strong work ethic, and a demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety.
