Aptitude Superintendent 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn’s Aptitude group is seeking a Superintendent 2 to lead moderately complex intelligent integration and low-voltage technology projects. The role manages field execution, project coordination, safety, quality, scheduling, and trade partner performance from planning through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Direct low-voltage project operations, including structured cabling, access control, surveillance, fire alarm, audiovisual, building automation, and related systems.
• Coordinate owners, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, and internal project leadership.
• Develop work plans, manage schedules, monitor costs, coordinate materials and equipment, and support project changes.
• Lead safety, quality assurance, workforce coordination, reporting, documentation, testing, troubleshooting, and closeout activities.
• Manage project risks, trade partner engagement, self-perform work, timecard approvals, and field productivity.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of construction experience and 5 years working with Division 8, 23, 25, 27, and 28 systems.
• At least 3 years of field supervision experience; 5 years managing projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems, construction methods, project processes, drawings, scheduling impacts, and project-to-project software configuration.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, MS Office, and low-voltage trade knowledge skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
