Aptitude Project Manager 2 Low Voltage Healthcare

Job Summary

JE Dunn’s Aptitude group is seeking a Project Manager 2 to lead low-voltage, technology integration, security, life safety, and smart building scopes for healthcare and other commercial construction projects in Houston.

Project Details

The role supports technology design, estimating, procurement, installation, network integration, and consulting activities, with assignments based at project sites and/or in the office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technology design and construction activities to meet constructability, quality, technical, and financial requirements.
• Develop scopes of work, responsibility matrices, budgets, proposals, schedules, staffing plans, and project work plans.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and coordinate vendor and trade partner pricing.
• Manage project budgets, costs, billing, collections, schedules, documentation, and milestone reporting.
• Resolve project issues, evaluate results after completion, and support safe, injury-free project delivery.
• Manage client and consultant coordination, pursuit efforts, business development, training, and smart building technology initiatives.
• Lead, coach, recruit, and develop team members while supporting Aptitude processes and standards.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of experience with information technology, security, or life safety systems.
• At least 5 years of project management experience; healthcare construction experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of project processes, estimating, proposals, budgets, profitability, and technology-related construction delivery.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills, presentation ability, relationship-building skills, and intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license required; willingness to work non-traditional hours and meet travel or relocation needs.
