Aptitude Project Engineer 2- Low Voltage

Job Summary

JE Dunn’s Aptitude team is seeking a Project Engineer 2 to support low-voltage construction and technology integration work. This role offers a development path toward Senior Project Engineer or Superintendent and combines field coordination, project administration, safety, quality, and construction management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support field execution, crew planning, productivity tracking, material coordination, and project reporting.
• Assist with safety planning, toolbox talks, quality reviews, inspections, punch lists, and closeout activities.
• Prepare and maintain estimates, schedules, daily logs, procurement records, shop drawing tracking, and project documentation.
• Coordinate subcontractor scopes, internal support functions, project meetings, and progress updates.
• Support project setup and administration in CMiC and other company systems.
• Help manage costs, equipment, materials, labor productivity, and assigned process improvements.
• Apply construction best practices, Lean principles, and company standards while collaborating with project teams and trade partners.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least two years of construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction management fundamentals, self-perform work, labor productivity, trade scopes, and construction technology.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to collaborate, assess productivity, organize work accurately, and support less experienced team members.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in active construction environments.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a full-time professional non-union position with an associated benefits package. The role may require travel or relocation and non-traditional work hours to meet project needs.
