Job Summary

PCL Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Controls Coordinator in Abilene, Texas, to support cost, schedule, forecasting, and reporting functions on industrial construction projects.

Project Details

The position supports industrial project teams and works across project, operations, construction, and field functions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multidisciplinary project controls activities involving scheduling, planning, estimating, cost control, subcontract administration, and document control.
• Track schedule progress, costs, productivity, forecasts, resources, and variances, communicating trends to project leadership.
• Support scope definition, budget and schedule changes, change management, estimates, and impact analyses.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, cost, schedule, and management reports.
• Identify project issues and schedule risks, develop recovery plans, and help teams resolve challenges.
• Coach and mentor project personnel and superintendents on project controls practices across one or more sites.

Required Experience

• At least 3 years of project controls experience in construction or a related field.
• Construction trade certification with equivalent experience, or a preferred post-secondary diploma or degree in construction management or engineering.
• Knowledge of scheduling, planning, cost control, forecasting, change management, document control, estimating, and construction management practices.
• Ability to interpret labor and cost reports, productivity rates, contract language, and project risks.
• Experience mentoring others and monitoring forecast resources such as materials, staff, and equipment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and construction operational systems.
