Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a mid-level Superintendent to lead underground piping work for water and wastewater construction projects. The role oversees field execution, develops supervisory expertise, and may involve assignments across the United States.

Project Details

Kiewit Water Facilities South delivers water treatment, wastewater treatment, and desalination facilities. Current assignments are primarily in New Mexico and Texas, with project locations subject to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft activities through foremen and general foremen while managing productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate field engineering, subcontractors, superintendents, and craft teams to maintain compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Plan labor and material needs, support schedule development, and address workforce issues and grievances.
• Enforce project procedures, safety requirements, and company standards.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction experience, including three years supervising piping operations.
• Experience with trench excavation planning and underground pipe installation around existing utilities.
• Knowledge of construction safety, scheduling, cost control, engineering documentation, and union regulations.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, teamwork, and commitment to safe work.
• Ability to relocate or work at changing project locations, including overtime and weekends when required.
