Job Summary

Kiewit Building Group is seeking a senior project management leader to oversee commercial construction performance, client relationships, estimating, and multiple project teams from its Springfield, Virginia regional office.

Project Details

The building portfolio includes office, industrial, education, sports, hospitality, healthcare, transportation, government, science and technology, retail, special-use, and tenant improvement projects delivered through general contracting, construction management, design-build, design-assist, and turnkey approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for strategy, business initiatives, and multiple construction teams through preconstruction and delivery.
• Oversee project financial performance, schedules, construction execution, contracts, staffing, and client relations.
• Lead market development, client relationship building, community partnerships, proposals, estimating collaboration, and contract negotiations.
• Support employee development, recruiting, retention, and implementation of the company safety culture.

Required Experience

• At least 15 years of experience in vertical construction, preferably in the regional market.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, or equivalent related experience.
• Previous leadership as a Project Manager, Design Manager, Director of Estimating, Project Director, or similar construction role.
• Knowledge of commercial scheduling, contracts, engineering coordination, subcontractor management, project controls, and administration.
• Strong business judgment, communication, leadership, presentation, staff management, and business process skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and related project administration software.
• Reliable attendance, safe work practices, deadline management, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varied locations as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
