Senior Project Superintendent - Building Group (Vertical Construction)

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent to lead field supervision for a vertical construction assignment in the Point Pleasant, West Virginia area. The role oversees safety, quality, productivity, cost controls, scheduling, and coordination among craft personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and project leadership.

Project Details

The Kiewit Building Group delivers office, industrial, education, hospitality, healthcare, transportation, manufacturing, retail, technology, and interior construction projects. This assignment involves advanced-technology and industrial building work, with the initial project based in Point Pleasant.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft operations and supervise productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate field engineering, subcontractors, trade partners, suppliers, and other superintendents.
• Plan schedules, workforce levels, material quantities, and equipment needs.
• Monitor construction against drawings, specifications, budgets, procedures, and quality standards.
• Provide safety training, resolve workforce and scheduling issues, and communicate project concerns to management.

Required Experience

• At least 15 years of construction industry experience, including 3 or more years in a supervisory position.
• Previous vertical building experience and general contractor oversight of subcontractors and trade partners.
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, scheduling, cost control, safety requirements, engineering documents, union agreements, and jurisdictional matters.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying site conditions as needed.
