Security Operations Manager

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a Security Operations Manager to lead physical security technology deployments for new facilities and project sites. This senior-level, full-time position is based in the Omaha home office and oversees project delivery, vendors, budgets, schedules, and security asset lifecycle planning.

Project Details

The role supports Kiewit’s North American portfolio of offices, yards, and project sites, including deployments involving video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and related physical security systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead security technology projects from scope definition and planning through installation, commissioning, turnover, and closeout.
• Coordinate consultants, integrators, vendors, project teams, and internal stakeholders across concurrent projects.
• Develop schedules, forecasts, budgets, risk plans, status reports, and communication plans.
• Manage security equipment inventory, lifecycle tracking, replacement planning, reuse, storage, recycling, and disposal.
• Evaluate technology and vendor solutions while maintaining deployment standards and continuous improvement practices.
• Communicate project progress, costs, risks, inventory, and forecasts to leadership and hold vendors accountable for performance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction management, security management, engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 or more years of relevant experience in project management, security systems deployment, systems integration, construction technology, or a related area.
• At least 3 years of team-management experience.
• Experience directing third-party consultants, integrators, vendors, or contractors through technology installation and commissioning.
• Experience with physical security systems such as video surveillance, access control, or intrusion detection is preferred.
• Must be able to work in office and active project-site environments and coordinate geographically dispersed teams.
