Project Manager Kiewit Power Delivery Engineering

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a senior Engineering Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary power delivery design teams serving utility and transmission and distribution clients. The position may be based in Portland, Oregon, or Salt Lake City, Utah.

Project Details

The team delivers engineering and design services for transmission, substation, and distribution projects across North America, supporting electric utilities and related power markets.

Responsibilities

• Direct multiple projects, including staffing plans, schedules, budgets, project controls, and delivery reviews.
• Lead engineers, designers, and design partners while coordinating scope, quality, risk, and change management.
• Manage owner relationships and communicate project strategies, action plans, and performance.
• Develop the technical capabilities of design staff through mentoring and coaching.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of relevant industry experience and prior work as a Project Manager, Design Manager, or Engineering Manager.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or comparable related experience.
• Experience with engineering delivery, estimating, contracts, client relations, scheduling, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with project administration software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Regular attendance, dependable deadline performance, effective communication, and safe work practices are required.
