Job Summary

Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking a Project Engineer to support the technical, administrative, cost, and coordination functions of major power construction projects. The role manages project information, supports field teams, and develops engineers while coordinating closely with construction leadership.

Project Details

Kiewit Power Constructors delivers union-built power generation and solar farm projects throughout North America. The position is based in Lenexa, Kansas, with assignments relocating according to project needs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret contract documents, plans, and specifications and resolve field discrepancies.
• Coordinate document control, drawing revisions, change impacts, and distribution of updated information.
• Build and maintain master schedules and prepare cost and cash flow projections.
• Inspect work for contract compliance and recommend corrective actions or improved construction methods.
• Manage project teams, supervise and mentor engineers, and provide coordination across multiple projects.
• Support project-level environmental, health, and safety initiatives.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of construction or engineering experience, including 2 or more years managing engineers.
• Ability to analyze plans, specifications, and contract documents and identify discrepancies.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel, relocate, work overtime or weekends as project requirements dictate, and work at varying locations.
