Job Summary

Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to lead union field crews installing and assembling mechanical equipment for power-generation projects. The role is suited to experienced millwright, boilermaker, piping, foreman, and general foreman professionals.

Project Details

Kiewit delivers EPC power plant and solar construction, engineering, procurement, and startup services throughout North America. Assignments may be located across the Midwest and in states such as Ohio, Texas, and Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft labor and monitor productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Plan and execute field installation work in accordance with erection manuals, drawings, specifications, and quality procedures.
• Supervise installation of gas turbines, steam turbines, pumps, compressors, and related mechanical systems.
• Coordinate with other superintendents, subcontractors, technical representatives, and quality personnel.
• Resolve workforce, scheduling, and workflow issues while maintaining project execution.
• Apply company safety, conduct, attendance, and workplace policies across the assigned scope.

Required Experience

• At least five years of mechanical construction experience, with knowledge of rotating equipment installation.
• Superintendent experience is not required; qualified foremen and general foremen are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance and communicate effectively with project teams.
• Strong organization, time management, initiative, ethics, and commitment to safe work.
• Ability to travel, work overtime or weekends as required, and perform reliably at changing project locations.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation is $138,000-$165,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement plans with matching, and paid time off.
