Job Summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a Project Engineer for an on-site role supporting active Department of Energy construction work in Aiken, South Carolina. The position manages technical and administrative coordination while developing field and office engineering teams toward future project management roles.

Project Details

The role supports large-scale DOE and advanced nuclear projects, including EPC delivery, project controls, construction execution, and client coordination. Daily attendance at the active construction site is required; this is not a remote or hybrid position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project planning, scheduling, cost, revenue, and cash flow activities.
• Lead work planning and oversee temporary and construction engineering functions.
• Connect technical, schedule, and cost information between project teams and leadership.
• Supervise and develop field and office engineers.
• Maintain client relationships and support project execution.
• Work overtime and weekends when project requirements demand it.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering or a related discipline.
• At least five years of construction experience, including leadership of engineers or field personnel.
• Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and AutoCAD or comparable CAD tools is highly desired.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to pass a security background check for facility access are required.
• Reliable attendance, safe work practices, and the ability to work effectively in changing site conditions are required.
