Job Summary

Kiewit Bridge & Marine is seeking an entry-level Field/Office Engineer to support heavy civil, bridge, marine, and industrial construction operations. The position combines field coordination, office engineering, estimating support, and jobsite supervision.

Project Details

Assignments may support technical and traditional bridges, marine infrastructure, dredging, transportation structures, and related heavy civil or industrial work across the Southeast, Pacific Northwest, and other locations. Work locations may include both major cities and smaller communities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications, calculate quantities, support surveying, and compile as-built information.
• Prepare work plans, job hazard analyses, material orders, schedules, daily records, and project correspondence.
• Coordinate crews, subcontractors, deliveries, and field operations while participating in jobsite safety activities.
• Perform material takeoffs, basic engineering calculations, technical drafting, cost tracking, purchase order and subcontract support, and change-order preparation.
• Assist with bid reviews, production and cost analysis, plan reviews, and estimating takeoffs.

Required Experience

• 0–1 year of related construction experience.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications and recognize discrepancies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organization, communication, time-management, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to access construction sites in varied climates and conditions.
• Ability to travel, relocate, work overtime and weekends as project needs require.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $79,000–$87,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
