Field/ Office Engineer- Kiewit Industrial District

Job Summary

Kiewit Industrial District is hiring an entry-level Field/Office Engineer to support field operations, office engineering, and estimating on complex industrial construction projects throughout the United States.

Project Details

Assignments may involve industrial manufacturing, power, oil, gas, and chemical projects ranging from smaller capital improvements to major EPC work. The role is based at project sites with office rotations in Denver or the Lenexa area and may include estimating assignments between field rotations.

Responsibilities

• Translate drawings and specifications into field work plans and work packages.
• Coordinate material ordering and delivery schedules.
• Complete quantity takeoffs and support change order preparation.
• Provide field support and oversee subcontractor operations.
• Review project data, plans, and specifications to assist with estimates and bids.
• Work safely, meet deadlines, and collaborate with project teams, supervisors, and craft personnel.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical, mechanical, civil, or related engineering; an associate degree in construction management or electrical engineering may qualify with relevant experience.
• Ability to travel, relocate, and access all areas of construction sites in varied conditions.
• Strong communication, organization, initiative, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $88,000-$94,380 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
