Field Engineer- Weeks Marine Construction-NY, NJ, CT

Job Summary

Weeks Marine is seeking a Field Engineer to support marine construction operations throughout the Northeast. The role reports to the Project Manager and combines field leadership, engineering support, project controls, safety coordination, and contract administration.

Project Details

Weeks Marine delivers marine, dredging, tunneling, and related construction work across inland waterways and offshore environments. This position may be assigned to different Northeast project locations based on business and career needs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications, calculate installed quantities, and support field layout, surveying, and as-built documentation.
• Prepare work plans, work packages, job hazard analyses, reports, RFIs, correspondence, and project records.
• Coordinate labor, materials, deliveries, schedules, subcontractors, and jobsite work groups.
• Participate in safety meetings and reviews while supporting safe, quality field execution.
• Perform takeoffs, basic engineering calculations, drafting, cost-system updates, purchase-order support, and change-order preparation.
• Assist with schedule updates, submittals, cost reviews, and project reporting for management and project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• One to three or more years of construction field experience, including experience in engineering and leading engineers.
• Ability to review engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents and identify discrepancies.
• Strong communication, organization, initiative, ethics, safety awareness, and attention to detail.
• Ability to access construction sites in varied environments and work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel, relocate, work overtime and weekends as project requirements dictate.

Compensation and Benefits
