Field Engineer - Kiewit Power Constructors

Job Summary

Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking a Field Engineer II to lead engineering activities for power construction projects. The role reports to the Project Manager and supports field execution, project controls, safety, quality, and contract administration.

Project Details

Work supports major EPC power generation and solar projects across North America with a union craft workforce. Assignments may be located wherever project work is available.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction documents and support crews with layout, surveying, quantities, work plans, and as-built information.
• Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, material deliveries, schedules, and jobsite engineering activities.
• Support safety meetings, job hazard analyses, site reviews, and safe execution of the work.
• Maintain project records, reports, photographs, RFIs, cost data, schedules, subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Assist with estimating, bid reviews, production analysis, plan reviews, and material takeoffs.
• Supervise field operations and provide engineering support to project management.

Required Experience

• At least three years of construction field experience and experience leading engineering personnel.
• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents and identify discrepancies.
• Strong communication, organization, initiative, ethics, safety focus, and ability to work independently or on a team.
• Ability to access all areas of a construction site and work across varied climates and conditions.
• Regular attendance, overtime, weekend work, and adherence to safe work practices are required as project needs dictate.
