Job Summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is hiring an entry-level Field Engineer to support construction engineering, technical coordination, and field execution on nuclear and critical infrastructure projects.

Project Details

The team delivers engineering, procurement, and construction services for small modular nuclear reactors, Department of Energy initiatives, power facilities, and other complex infrastructure across North America. Assignments may alternate between field and office environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support from estimating and construction through testing, inspection, and project closeout.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications, evaluate site conditions, and help resolve technical issues with design and construction teams.
  • Verify work for compliance with safety, security, quality, environmental, workmanship, and schedule requirements.
  • Track installed quantities, support permits and work authorizations, and prepare technical and administrative documentation.
  • Assist with material and service requisitions and share lessons learned with project and corporate teams.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to read engineering documents, drawings, and specifications and apply basic construction engineering principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, collaborative problem-solving, and knowledge of construction safety.
  • Sole U.S. citizenship, successful site-access screening, and eligibility for applicable security clearance are required.
  • Must be willing to complete random drug and alcohol testing and work overtime or weekends when needed.
