Electrical Field Engineer - Industrial

Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer to lead field engineering activities for a complex industrial EPC project in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The role combines electrical planning, construction coordination, contract administration, cost tracking, and field leadership.

Project Details

The Kiewit Industrial District delivers industrial construction across sectors including data centers, mineral processing, energy, and water. This assignment is based in Point Pleasant and requires site presence for approximately 2–3 years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical installation planning, scheduling, procurement, reporting, and cost control.
• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Complete material takeoffs, quantity calculations, work plans, work packages, and job hazard analyses.
• Support subcontractor and vendor coordination while maintaining quality, safety, schedule, and owner relationships.
• Partner with superintendents, field engineers, and craft personnel while mentoring electrical field engineering staff.

Required Experience

• Degree in construction management or a related field.
• At least three years of electrical construction experience.
• Working knowledge of construction safety requirements, the National Electrical Code, scheduling, cost control, specifications, and engineering drawings.
• Microsoft Office experience required; familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log, or Primavera P6 is helpful.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work across active construction sites, travel or relocate, and work overtime or weekends when needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $95,000–$105,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement benefits with matching, and paid time off. Relocation assistance or per diem options may be available.
