Distribution Superintendent Kiewit Power Delivery

Job Summary

Kiewit Power Delivery is seeking a Distribution Superintendent to lead field operations for major electric utility infrastructure projects. The role oversees project execution, safety, schedule, cost control, quality, and client satisfaction while working with multiple foremen and craft teams.

Project Details

The position supports high-voltage transmission, distribution, and substation work across a large power delivery portfolio. Assignments may be based in area offices or project sites in Ohio, North Carolina, Oregon, Utah, Kansas, or Texas, using progressive design-build and Early Contractor Involvement approaches.

Responsibilities

• Direct field execution on transmission and substation projects.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate foremen, craft professionals, and junior superintendents.
• Coordinate subcontractors and oversee contract administration.
• Represent the company in client planning, problem-solving, and progress meetings.
• Review job cost updates and quarterly cash-flow projections.
• Plan project completion, turnover, daily records, and site client-relations activities.
• Recommend staffing, policy, procedural, and promotion decisions as appropriate.

Required Experience

• At least 8 years of construction experience, including 3 or more years leading transmission or substation projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams on complex, large-scale infrastructure work.
• Experience with progressive design-build or ECI delivery is preferred.
• Strong communication, planning, negotiation, safety, and continuous-improvement skills.
• Reliable attendance, effective teamwork, and willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.

Compensation and Benefits
