Concrete Superintendent - Kiewit Power Constructors

Job Summary

Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking a Concrete Superintendent to lead field supervision and develop expertise across complex power construction projects. The role is based in Lenexa, Kansas, with assignments at project locations throughout North America.

Project Details

The Power Constructors district delivers union-built EPC projects including power plants, solar facilities, gas- and coal-fired generation, coal retrofits, and renewable energy work.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft activities through general foremen and foremen while managing productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Connect field engineering with craft teams to support compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate work among superintendents, subcontractors, Kiewit personnel, and project leadership.
• Address workforce conflicts, grievances, staffing needs, and scheduling issues.
• Support planning for labor, materials, equipment, and project schedules.
• Maintain company safety, attendance, conduct, and workplace policies.

Required Experience

• At least five years of experience in power construction or a related market; experienced foremen and general foremen are encouraged to apply.
• Advanced understanding of construction disciplines, safety requirements, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and project documentation.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance and interpret plans, specifications, and the NEC.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and project administration software.
• Willingness to travel or relocate, work overtime and weekends as needed, and maintain reliable attendance.
