Concrete Superintendent - Heavy Civil and Marine Construction

Job Summary

TIC, a Kiewit company, is seeking a Concrete Superintendent to lead heavy civil and marine construction work from its Savannah, Georgia operation. The role oversees field execution, self-perform crews, subcontractors, and concrete activities in complex waterfront environments.

Project Details

The Marine and Heavy Civil District performs public and private-sector work including dock construction and repair, bridges, roads, bridge rehabilitation, foundations, erosion control, drainage structures, industrial maintenance, fabrication, and concrete construction.

Responsibilities

• Plan work sequencing, logistics, look-ahead schedules, production tracking, and schedule recovery.
• Direct concrete and structural construction while coordinating labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, survey teams, and craft personnel.
• Manage concrete placement, finishing, curing, reinforcing steel, formwork, embeds, and structural components.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, quality, and equipment teams.
• Oversee inspections, testing, documentation, quality compliance, and corrective actions.
• Maintain progress against milestones, specifications, contracts, and project requirements.

Required Experience

• At least two years of construction experience, including one year in a superintendent or leadership role.
• Infrastructure experience such as roads, bridges, dams, or water and wastewater treatment facilities is preferred.
• Strong leadership, safety, planning, negotiation, organizational, communication, and contract administration skills.
• Ability to resolve field issues, access all areas of a construction site, and learn company policies, procedures, and software.
• Reliable attendance, safe work practices, and willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
